I just…I mean. No. NO. They are making a sequel to Mrs. Doubtfire, you guys. MRS. DOUBT. EFFING. FIRE. Did anyone, minus Robin Williams, ever come close to needing a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel? Maybe in 1993, which is when it came out, MORE THAN 20 YEARS AGO, but now? No. No one has. I guarantee you that no one has. And yet, here we are.

Elf screenwriter David Berenbaum has been tapped to write the sequel to the 1993 hit comedy Mrs. Doubtfire, which is in development at Fox 2000 and has star Robin Williams and director Chris Columbus attached to return.

This is an atrocity. Even Mara Wilson, who played Nattie (and who is also now a grown woman) thinks it’s a dumb idea. Stop it, Hollywood. Just stop it.
