E!  recently honored the late, great Joan Rivers with “Joan Day,” an all-day marathon of Fashion Police, as well as various tributes from her E! co-stars and highlights from her best moments over the years. During “Joan Day,” the network also made a conclusive statement on the future of Fashion Police:

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Joan Rivers and, for the last two weeks, have turned our attention to honoring her memory on all of our platforms.  We have also thought long and hard about what Joan would have wanted as it pertains to the future of Fashion Police…We decided, with Melissa Rivers’ blessing, that Joan would have wanted the franchise to continue.  Fashion Police will return in 2015 commencing with Golden Globes coverage on Monday, January 12.  No further details will be announced at this time.”

So, there you have it, Joan Rangers. With Melissa’s blessing, the show will go on. Unfortunately, I don’t think it will ever live up to the magic of Joan’s one-liners. For instance, who else on E! has the balls to say, “Someone needs to sit [Justin Bieber] down and say, ‘You are not a big black thug'”? No one, that’s who.

I’m just going to leave this by posting one of my favorite Joan Rivers moments ever – Joan working at the makeup counter with Miss Piggy in The Muppets Take Manhattan. Guaranteed to make me laugh, no matter how many hundreds of times I watch it:
