In case you were somehow away from the Internet yesterday, you might not have heard that the first official teaser trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron leaked online. Obviously, everyone went nuts. I mean, how can you not? First of all, the Avengers! Joss Whedon! James Spader being totally scary as Ultron! Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver! Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo without shirts! (I have priorities, obviously). Marvel took the news of the leak quite well, having probably the best reaction ever:
Within hours of the leak, Marvel decided to release the official trailer itself, which I think was a solid move. If everyone is going to see it anyway, why not see it in 1080p? So enjoy the official video below in glorious high definition and then someone explain to me how James Spader manages to make a line from Pinocchio so damn creepy.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron doesn’t come out until summer of 2015, but here’s the official movie synopsis in the meantime:
Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
CAN. NOT. WAIT.
