Lighten Up, MTA! Should Bravo’s Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce Ad Be Banned?

The MTA needs to chillax. Bravo’s first original scripted series, Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce is already causing trouble with New York and Los Angeles Metro Authorities. The ad, seen above, has been banned by the NY and LA MTA due to its “inappropriate” content. I don’t really get what’s so bad here – I suppose the tongue-in-cheek nod to saying, “Go f*ck yourself,” while star Lisa Edelstein shows her naked ring finger? Whoa, back up now, think of the children!

According to The Wrap, Bravo declined to change to ad. A spokesperson for Bravo stated:

“The ad is an accurate representation of the show’s humor, attitude and story, so rather than ‘divorce’ this creative concept — we found alternative sites for it to run in NY and LA.”

Do you think the ad is too inappropriate?

  1. It’s a clever and punchy advertisement, as it should be for a show of this sort. I think they just need to calm down, it’s not proposing war, it’s simply evocative.
