We’ve already learned that Real Housewives Of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel will be returning to the Bravo show for season seven. That made me almost as happy as hearing that Aviva Drescher was fired. Almost. God, Aviva is the worst. But anyway! Now rumors are spreading that Countess LuAnn de Lesseps – who was demoted to “a friend of the housewives” last season, will be returning to the show full time.
Of course, these rumors are coming from Countess LuAnn herself, so who knows if they’re even true – Bravo has yet to confirm anything about LuAnn’s role. But at last week’s Woman’s Day Red Dress Awards, the Countess said that she’ll be appearing center stage once more. “I’m pretty sure I’m back full time,” she told the New York Post. “I think I’ll be holding an apple.”
This is pretty interesting news, considering that Ramona Singer has officially been demoted to “a friend” for season seven. Maybe they can only have one recurring friend at a time? Who knows. But LuAnn was totally enjoyable throughout season six – it seemed like a recurring role allowed her relax and be herself. I hope whatever happens, we get to keep this hilarious, fun LuAnn.
